I can't Load my own 3d Models

Postby easysurfer on Sat Apr 18, 2009 3:08 pm

Hey!

I'm sorry for my bad English... I'm normally only talk German.

Ok, my problem:
I tried the test "game" of the QSE. I changed the Map a little bit and so on. Now I want to change the cube modell to my own Tank modell. I converted the model from 3DS to the fbx Format with the "Autodesk FBX Converter". I swaped the name of the models an added it to the project. But when i compile this test project, i got the following error:
Error 1 Missing asset "F:\programme\FBX Converter\2010.0\M1_ABRAM.BMP". M:\xxx\Downloads\FireFox\QuickStart Engine v0.196\QuickStart Engine v0.196\framework\test\QuickStartSampleGame\Content\Models\Panzer.fbx QuickStartSampleGame_Windows

But the is no File named M1_ABRAM.BMP! I searched it on my Computer...

What is the right converter for FBX files or what can i do with this error?

That .bmp is being referenced by the model itself. It must be baked into the model's .FBX.

You need to remove all textures from that model and re-export.
